Elphara

Elphara is the alchemy between a voice and a violin. His musical universe is a mosaic of folk, Celtic and classical music with an original and sparkling poetic grain.

Graduate of the Royal Conservatory of Music  in 1997, Elphara left his native Belgium and moved to London where he teaches the violin and plays in the underground as well as in pubs and festivals (Shetland Folk Festival, Sydemouth Festival, National Theater)...

In 2000 following the recording of his first album, South Kensington, Elphara slung his violin over his shoulder and set off in search of new experiences. A year on the roads of India, Japan, China... After several years writing new material, a series of live recordings at Hampstead Church gave him the opportunity to explore vocally as well and encouraged him to write lyrics for some of his compositions.
